Community Consultative Panel
Black Rock Motor Resort is seeking passionate and engaged members of the community to join its Community Consultative Panel.
The Black Rock Motor Resort is an exciting new project on the former Rhondda Colliery site in Wakefield, Lake Macquarie. The resort will feature a state-of-the-art motorsports facility, accommodation, dining, and entertainment options, creating a unique destination for motorsports enthusiasts and visitors to the region.
The Community Consultative Panel will be a forum for representatives from the community, stakeholder groups, and Black Rock Motor Resort to discuss project matters, share information, and provide feedback. The panel will play a consultative role so that community perspectives are considered throughout the project's development and operation.
The Community Consultative Panel will be led by an independent chair, Professor Roberta Ryan. Roberta will determine the membership of the panel.
Who should apply?
We are seeking members who:
Live, work, or own land in the Lake Macquarie and Lower Hunter region
Have an interest in the Black Rock Motor Resort project and its potential opportunities and impacts
Can represent and communicate the interests of their local community or a stakeholder group, and share information back through their networks
Are committed to constructive dialogue and collaboration.
Key responsibilities for committee members
Attend and actively participate in Community Consultative Panel meetings, which will be held approximately four times a year at the Black Rock Motor Resort
Review project-related information and provide feedback
Share information and updates with their community and / or stakeholder group.
